Barbara Villiers was cousin to George, Duke of Buckingham. She spent her youth with the court that followed the Stewarts in exile to France. Thrown out by the Protestants who elected Oliver Cromwell to rule in their stead. Upon Cromwells death Charles II was invited to take his place as King. Barbara returned to the English court following Charles. Charles married Catherine of Braganza, the union had no children, Charles and Barbara, however, had five. She was known for her winning ways and fierce temper. Charles was well and truly henpecked by the fiery Barbara.The lady Barabara is small and fast with a very long spin.
